I love driving my explorer all over and trying diner food as I go, seeing places, and just the feel of my seats and the sounds of my speakers as I drive through the highways and byways.

Megabus. Dirt cheap. Check it out, They run buses from La to Vegas daily.

southwest ding fare from BUR to LAS for $45 one-way, much better than bus.

As a general rule I like to go the last week of April through the middle of May for several reasons. It’s not Hurricane Season. It isn’t too hot but still warm enough for everthing in the water. Spring break is over for everyone and Summer vacation hasn’t started yet, so you aren’t going to deal with either of those crowds. Fishing is good that time of year, my personal favorite hobby. That’s my opinion (leaving on cruise in 36 days).

If you are going by yourself, then the most affordable way will be flying out of burbank or taking Greyhound from Pasadena or downtown.
If you are going with one or two other people, then driving will be cheaper.
Do a Kayak search to compare prices on all airlines out of Burbank.
