Cruise Timing PDF Print E-mail

A cruise vacation is most definitely one of the most unforgettable experiences in one’s life. This is perhaps the best alternative available, if you are tired of visiting the same amusement parks and bored stiff of the same city and its attractions. There is a large variety of activities on and off the ship as well as the choice of destinations where these cruises can take you. These might be a little mind-boggling but one very important aspect before you book a cruise is choosing the right time make that trip.

Let’s look at it this way. We hardly have any options to choose the timings of our vacations. We have to take into consideration factors like school routines and leave from work, etc. But the more options you have on the timing of your cruise, the better it is. To simplify matters here, we will break these schedules into two broad categories : taking the cruise during off-season (these are winter months) and taking the cruise during peak season (these include summer months and school holidays).

Off season vis-à-vis peak season cruise

Both the season timings have their equal share of advantages. You have to come to a decision as to what you want. If you decide to take the peak season cruise, you will have lots of people as company. You might travel like a large group or a big family and manage to get group fares which are lower than individual rates. You also get the advantage of getting more alternative destinations – as a lot of cruises operate during this time.

The biggest advantage of traveling off season is the savings that you get. Most cruise liners offer massive discounts during this time which are extremely attractive. You also don’t require a long time to book your trip as there are fewer travelers at this time. Choosing the right destination is comparatively easier during off season. Though there are some restrictions on locations because of the prevailing cold weather but choosing a tropical country destination makes better sense as you might like to enjoy this region when the weather is slightly cooler.

Now that you know both sides of the story, you have to choose very wisely from the plethora of options that you have. But considering the world is waiting with open arms to greet you, choosing the right time for the right destination should not pose a big problem.
